Applicant, inventor’s information

Power of Attorney A Notarized power of attorney. (at least soft copy of the POA required at the time of filing)

The POA needs to signed by the applicant, two witnesses, should have the company stamp and should be notarized

Certified priority document/Verified English translation of priority document (along with translation certificate) Notarized copy of the priority documents in the case of Priority Claim.

Scanned copy of the Certified priority document and Verified English translation of priority document (along with translation certificate) will be required at the time of filing.

Detailed Particulars of Foreign Applications Advisable to file as soon as information is available.
The certified copy of home country registration/grants certificate of patent along with the Notarized English translation with the description and drawings This document is not required at the time of filing but required to be submit compulsorily on later dates that without this Nepal Registry does not give the registration of patent.

Nepal gives the registration of patent on the basis of their grant/registration in home country or any other foreign country; it is required to submit the corresponding grant/registration certificate to secure the registration of patent in Nepal.

Required Documents

  1. Notarized Power of Attorney
  2. Home country/foreign corresponding country registration certificate.

Please note Certificate of Trademark Registration should be with respect to the same mark, same name and details of the applicant, in the same class and claiming same goods/services as made in the Nepalese Trade Mark application.

Further, please note that the certified copy of the home/foreign registration certificate of trademark can be submit at later dates. If the said certificate is not in English language then we would require the Notarized English translation of the same.

  3. Class (Note: Multiclass system is not available in Nepal)
  4. The Goods or services under such class.
