We inform you that it is possible to claim priority from a Convention Application in Pakistan within six months from the date of the first Application filed in a member country.

Documents and information required for filing a new Trademark Application in Pakistan are as follows:-

a).	Name, address and Nationality of the Proprietor/Applicants
b).	The Trademark and/or the design to be registered alongwith 20 representations (if other than a word mark),
c).	the Class in which the mark is to be Registered, the Goods under such class and the period of use or date of first use in Pakistan or a statement that the mark is proposed to be used.

PATENT LAW AND PRACTICE IN PAKISTAN

Pakistan is a member of Paris convention. Priority can be claimed from the basic Application within 12 months from the date of earliest priority.
English is the official language of all documents to be filed in Pakistan. For filing a new Patent Application in Pakistan, we require the following documents:--

a).	A copy of the Patent specification and claims in English language alongwith drawings, if any;
b).	Complete details regarding the applicant and inventor (their names, nationality and addresses);
c).	Certified copy of the Priority document within three months from the date of filing of the Application.
